Air exchangers are so good that even the smoking areas were fine to walk around in, but what we really liked about this casino is that it had huge smoke free gambling zones. It's still a work in progress, but one would never know that. Tribe has gone to great lengths to overall the casino. Valet parking for those who want or need it. I would lean toward the enclosed structure due to the day time heat. Lots of parking close by the door including an enclosed parking structure. We were really impressed by this casino (note: we did not stay in the resort). If the hotel is attempting to expand into business conferences, I recommend a lot of changes for the business guest. As the title suggests, I also heard 'no' in response to almost every request I made of the staff, including simple things like substituting sides in the Café or asking to plug in my laptop at a nearby outlet. I ate at the Café nearly every day - and ate the same meal every day because the selection is limited. Unlike many hotels, they do not have a real store where you can buy small food items like yogurt. The dining options are limited, especially if you don't have a car to travel back into San Diego. You are likely to pay close to or even more than $100 for transportation (even a shuttle) if you are coming from San Diego. The hotel is remote, which creates a few problems. Also, I had to walk through the smoking area to get to the conference rooms. The furniture was over-sized, making it somewhat difficult to move around the room without bumping into things. I was apparently in the older section of the hotel, and my room was very dark (it only had dark shades without any sheers). I would not choose to stay here again and would not recommend it, though I cannot provide an opinion for those who are drawn to the casino. I stayed at the hotel for a business conference. I heard 'no' from the restaurant and hotel staff repeatedly during my stay.
